A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be working with Omnivise Asset Management System OAM, Siemens Energy’s proprietary modular software suite to support to support all power plant core processes and domains. The emphasis in this job will be on the OAM Operation and Maintenance application which aims to support our power plant customers in organizing and efficiently managing operation and maintenance activities.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Technical project execution for Asset Management Systems, including:

• Evaluation of contractual documents with respect to scope, time and costs
• Setup of project execution schedules
• Evaluation of engineering documents, e. g. signal lists, spare part lists, network diagrams
• Customer communication to identify and map their operation and maintenance structures and processes to the Asset Management System
• Setup of the configuration for the Asset Management System
• Conducting factory acceptance tests (FAT), if required
• Commissioning of the system on the applicable hardware server on premise or the customers cloud environment
• Conducting site acceptances tests (SAT), if required
• Quality check of the installation and the installation’s environment
• Preparation of customer documentation
• Training of the customer

What You Bring

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, software engineering

• More than 3 years in power plant business
• Knowledge of power plant operation management processes (shift planning, work orders, outage planning, document management)
• Knowledge of power plant maintenance processes, job safety and partly Asset Performance Management (APM)
• Skills in SQL and database administration: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB or similar
• Data Interface Experience to Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Basic Knowledge of server virtualization and cloud environments
• Very good communication skills to communicate effectively with customers and internal / external partners
• Troubleshooting skills
• Basic Project Management knowledge
• Fluent English required, in addition German language is appreciated
• High resilience, flexibility, enjoy familiarizing with new products and processes
• Willingness to travel (10-20%)
